At the Autumnal Summit on Sunday, Heather and Matt mentioned that Rik
van Riel [1] of Red Hat would be interested in putting on a
presentation on ridding the world of spam, and that they felt his
material is of "Quarterly" stature - he has presented at the Ottawa
Linux Symposium [3] and other world-class events. Bill Sconce
mentioned to me that he put on a presentation [2] at Southern New
Hampshire University as part of their IEEE/ACM program, which was
very well attended (~120). They don't have a speaker lined up for the
January 24h session. We don't seem to have a place lined up for a
presentation. Their meetings are open to the public.
Would it be reasonable to this group to propose a joint meeting? We
get a central and spacious location and the other groups get their
schedule filled.
Questions:
Any objections to sharing the billing for meeting with IEEE/ACM? if
not, I'll plan on contacting Professor Isaak and Rik to determine if
this would work for them.
