Barrie North presented Joomla to DLSLUG last year and did a fine job.
Barrie apologized for "not being technical enough," but I think it
was arguably an advantage in some respects, as he stayed focused on
"what it does" and "what your customers want" and "how you do it" and
not getting lost in the miriad details of "how it does it."
