When I was in the industry (3 years ago) Citizens had a better
reputation for customer service than most other large institutions.  For
example, most of their ATMs still participate in the SUM ATM network
[1].  While I generally support credit unions or cooperative banks, if
there isn't one that suits our needs I would have no objection to taking
our business to Citizens.


[1] http://www.sum-atm.com/index.asp  It's a network/co-operative
concept linking financial institutions (mostly smaller ones).  The
agreement is "I won't charge your customers a surcharge if you don't
charge mine."
