Strange things are afoot on my firewall........ a little while ago, My
firewall started beeping every minute or so. When I tuned on the monitor,
there was a message that says:
" Message from Syslogd@localhost at Wed Jan 26 15:53:38 2000...
Localhost kernel: OK
So, I tailed /var/log/messages and this is what I got:
Jan 26 15:53:38 localhost kernel: 00 OK
Jan 26 15:54:41 localhost kernel: 2000 OK
Jan 26 15:55:52 localhost kernel: OK
Jan 26 15:57:13 localhost kernel: 00 OK
Jan 26 16:00:27 localhost kernel: OK
Jan 26 16:01:11 localhost kernel: OK
Jan 26 16:01:46 localhost kernel: 0 OK
Jan 26 16:03:12 localhost kernel: OK
Jan 26 16:03:16 localhost kernel: OK
Has anyone ever seen this before? The system has been running fine for a
long time now, and it has never done this before. Also, it seems to have
stopped now. Any guesses??
