Lori The linux For Dummies book is good. It will "bootstrap" you up pretty fast, with a lot of ideas. My personal favorite, for gebneral knowledge and a "Fun reading book" is: Running Linux bu Welsh, Dalheimer and Kaufman ISBN: 1-56592-469-x, $34.95 In my view, this book has something for everyone. Administration stuff, Installation, Systems, Filesystems, X Environmeny, Servers (samba), Tools even some new stuff on Alpha. I bought the First edition and really enjoyed that, now I am about finished with the 3 rd edition. Plus, I like the format or layout of the book, I give it 5 stars. paulc ********************************************************** To unsubscribe from this list, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the following text in the *body* (*not* the subject line) of the letter: unsubscribe gnhlug **********************************************************
