Hello Everyone
We had a good turn out at the BUD meeting today. Lots of good ideas and
suggestions. I think that someone that took better notes than I needs to put
out a list of "To do" action items and ask for volunteers to complete these
items by a certain deadline. The time line I suggested below is just a
SWAG(Simple Wild Ass Guess). I would be grateful if someone would come up
with some better dates.
Of all the thing discussed I will get all the rooms we need reserved
including before the event so we can set up and perform a full dry runs. I
will also be there at the dry-runs and at the event for both set up and
restorations. I know we need people to do at least the following:
*Develop and start to execute a full scale advertising plan(Feb 29)
*Finalize the list of Demonstrations Applications and Scenarios to
show (Feb 29)
*Get people committed to setting up and doing the Demonstrations &
Scenarios and perform dry run(Feb 29, March 29, Apr 15)
*Determine and book our guest speakers(March 15)
*Solicit companies for donations (door prizes, give aways, snacks,
printing services, etc)(April 1 local & March 1 non-local)
*Determine and book venders (support venders and so on)(March 15)
*Set up a booth for GNHLUG(April 1)
*Determine and make up the literature, hand-outs, etc(April 1 and
final print by April 15)
I know my list is not complete, so could you please add to it. The above
final deadline of ~15 April would give two very short weeks to fine tune
any dry run glitches and apply some damage control efforts to anything not
coming together or having problems(like guest speaker cancellations or
whatever).
