  I'm well aware of the TOK protocol, and their published specs on it.  This 
will eventually turn into an 'interesting' situation, as the protocol will 
eventually be republished, with additional functionality involved.  We (The 
Jabber Project, www.jabber.org) have had contact with several people at AOL.  
Basically, they DO want anyone to have access to AOL IM, as they have 'buisness 
use' for the user data registered.  They are also going to eventually release 
an AIM server, that ISP can run their own IM system, but there are even more 
catches in there that we can't talk about..
