The organizational meeting went well last nite. Bruce had asked for
a table for 10. 23 showed up. We went thru many agenda items,
and accomplished much, in spite of many other conversations going
on in "our" meeting place (Pizzeria Uno).
We decided on Central NH LUG as a name, with centralug as the
preferred abbreviation. CNHLUG was the second choice, with a
few votes for CHUG (pronouncing a few letters as silent in CNHLUG),
and even CHugaLUG.
I seem to have been selected as "fearless leader". My references to
Boris and Natashia went unnoticed by these kids. Hey they just
released Dudley DoRight as a movie. Ed Lawson and Bruce Dawson
volunteered as other members of the local steering committee.
A meeting locations committee consists of me, Charlie Farinella,
Randy Edwards (Laconia tech.), and Dexter Howe (Concord tech.).
The meetings will be the second Wednesday of each month.
That means the first "real" meeting will be March 8th.
Obviously, we don't have a location or speaker. yet.
Bob Knowles, of the seacoast LUG, offered space for our
web page(s) and mailing list, but we will have to supply the
content. Advertising will be handled by the steering committee,
in cohorts with the GNHLUG steering committee.
