I wouldn't assume that it has anything to do with the vendor, but I'd look to
whomever the local admin is. Usually there are local .cshrc (or whatever) file
that every new user inherits. I ALWAYS check a new account for dangerous
foolishness like alias rm="rm -i" and such. "ll" is just another example; I
consider it much like M$'s embrace and extend. They've made my shell behave
in new, different and incompatible ways, AND THEY DID NOT TELL ME.
Pure evil.
BTW: This original message had the list and some individuals in the TO: field
and had some people in the CC: field. A "reply to all" would have been a Bad
Thing".
