rc.local existing with SysVinit scripts to me is just blasphemy :)  The reason 
I like the damn sysvinit structure is because it allows me better control.  
But what do they do?  In the interests of trying to please everyone, they 
re-introduce the concept of monolithicism to a modular environment!

I just don't get it :)
