I didn't mean to imply one was necessarily more apt than the other,
just wanted to supply another VPN option for consideration.

Here's another one, quite "home-brew" but effective!
If you like inspired Unix hacks (and who doesn't?!), there is a lovely
such hack that glues two remote pppd's together via a ssh encrypted
channel described in the HOWTO:

        /usr/doc/HOWTO/mini/VPN

Rube Goldberg, yes, but it works well!
