As you all know, the gnhlug site is down as is the gnhlug-org mail list,
and I need to be able to reach those who are interested in, need the
information and are waiting to hear how the Linux Business Show is shaping
up, so I need to use this list to get to as many as possible at one time.
First, we are now working on a mirrorded site for the GNHLUG site. I hope
to tell you more soon.
The LBS is progressing and we have more vendors emailing me daily that want
to participate. The press releases are out and they appear to be catching
peoples eyes. So our estimate for 275-350 people showing up may be very low.
We still need a few more volunteers to assist on Friday for setup and Sat
for crowd control, passing out info and answering questions.
Also, it was decided last night to computerize the registration part so
that we don't have to manually imput the guest info into a database. Rich
Payne is going to do the programming part. What we need is a bank of
computers in a room that the visitors can sit in and enter their info. I am
volunteering 2. Can I get 4 or 6 more? We will need monitors to go along
with the computers. Any old thing will do. It just needs a browser for the
info page. We will also need some network stuff.
