I think it's probably a coincidence. Most of those putting on the
installfests, or the LBS, etc. all happen to be from the southern part of the
state. Also coincidently, that's where the majority of the NH population is
concentrated.
There is a Northern New Hampshire LUG (which I believe is part of the GNHLUG,
though I may be wrong). Why not contact someone in that group, or find others
who are more conveniently located to you and help them organize such an event?
All it takes is one person with desire to get the job done (just look at the
amazing amount of stuff that Jerry Kubeck has done recently!). You don't
need to be an Linux expert, just have willingness to do it. If you organize
it, they will come :)
