Or you probably already have rdate(1) on your system. E.g.:

# rdate -s time.nist.gov

rdate is simpler than xntp. If your system clock doesn't drift
a buch (which btw can be remedied with adjtimex(8)) rdate might suite
your needs. But if you need high accuracy go with xntp.
