Check the HOWTOs.  I set it up to link my home LAN to the net
through my 56Kbd dialin and I was amazed at how easy it was.
Maybe 15 minutes reading, half a dozen commands, and bingo.
I think the 'firewall' HOWTO is more specific to this particular
situation; you don't need all the ipchains stuff if that's
all you're going to do.
