Hi all,
Derek just let me know that his home system has been severely hacked
(evidently they replaced /bin/login with one that allowed root access without
a password, or something like that.)
He's still in the process of figuring out exactly how they got in and what
else they did. Until then he probably won't have an internet connection.
At any rate, I'm trying to help him figure out where some of the IPs come from
which he has records of connecting to his box. Does anyone know where to look
up who owns what IP ranges on the net? I know I've been there before, but I
can't remember the name of the sight.
Thanks,
