It is sexist and is put in a very stereotypical tone, but, in general, he's
right.. :-P Don't think he was targetting individuals, just the general
opinion of 'You get what you pay for'..

Agreed. But that doesn't mean I *LIKE* the fact that I need to use it..

I've heard the same argument for audio editing capabilities from other
individuals. Many of these apps are very proprietary, with small consumer
bases. In those cases, I doubt untill a substantial part of the market uses
linux that these sort of apps will *ever* get ported. In many cases, there
simply aren't any open source alternatives, again, do to the small consumer
base of these sort of products..

You express exactly what many people complain about. The ability to choose
what you want. I always find it quite funny that many (certainly not on this
list, but I know you've all seen it) individuals use the slogan 'We want a free
choice', but then proceed to make themselves look and sound foolish by
degrading others who actually make an informed choice to USE Microsoft
products..
