  Are you sure you don't have Flash for Linux?  AFAIK, there is a Flash
player, but not a full Shockwave player.  (The two are somehow different --
don't ask me, ask Macromedia.)

  In Netscape, type "about:plugins" in the location field.  If you see
"Shockwave Flash", with types "futuresplash" and "x-shockwave-flash", then
you've got the Flash player as installed as it is going to get.

  If you've got a Shockwave player for Linux, I'd be interested in knowing
where you got it.  :-)
