Actually, in this specific case, probably not. But, I have seen many
cases of unaugthorized people going through desks and using systems.
Employees must understand that protecting the assets of their company
is no different than protecting their own. Many people fail to realize that
one of the biggest threats to computer and network security in any
company is internal. Steven Turcich, a security consultant, likes to talk
about "Iron Doors and Paper Walls". But people need to be taught that
even simple procedures like locking a workstation even when you are
away for a few minutes is important.
