Kevin, the point isn't that he's not trustworthy, it's that we can't know
he is. Consider this, most espionage incidents have been committed by some of
the most trustworthy people their families and friends have ever met.
I'm not saying that your friend isn't trustworthy, I'm saying that network
security dictates that you "Trust No One" no matter what. And that goes for
us too, you shouldn't necessarily trust the admins. You have no idea what
they're doing on the network. You have no idea what kind of people they are.
If you have personally sensitive information on your machine, they very well
may be looking at it. So don't trust them, use ssh and file encryption to
protect yourself.
