First, Tru64 has been a 64 bit OS since the day it was released, with a
few exceptions. HP-UX has some very serious memory limitations in the
32 bit side. I have the least experience with Solaris, but my preferences
are with a more Berkeleyish OS. I have not really worked enough with the
Sun 64 bit Solaris. For me, it is more of a comfort level since I have
worked with Tru64 for most of the past 8 years. My experience with
Solaris was a shorter contract, where we had some problems with some
TCP/IP code which worked well on Linux and Tru64, but not on Solaris.
