typed these two commands
THIS=`pwd`
diff release.script $THIS/release.script
and got a list of differences, corresponding to the last edit on the
file (made a few
minutes ago in a different window, and synced immediately after exiting
vi).
Find tells me the only other copy of release.script lives in a different
file system
(pwd tells me the working directory is /build, the other file is in a
tree rooted in
/mnt/shared).
FWIW, this is on RedHat 6.2 and I don't think I'm doing anything tricky
or fancy.
I'm running pretty much a stock installation of their distro, using
gnome.
Only clue I can come up with is that I had previously (long ago, like an
hour or so)
had that session cd'ed to the tree under /mnt/share. Can't figure out
why there should
still be any stale context around, especially since I tried to force
refresh on everything
I could think of. Any ideas?
What's up? Am I missing something? WHAT???
THANKS!
