All the files under the "Programs" menu are stored in:
/usr/share/gnome/apps/
I would just save the ones your interested in, instead of saving them all,
which could cause problems. Of course, saving the menu file, doesn't save
the program ... But, helix should only be updating, I don't think it removes
anything it doesn't replace.
The other menus (KDE, Another Level) are installed by other programs,
and should remain intact. If they dissapear, just right click on the
foot menu, select Properties, and turn them back on.
