AFAIK, the bundled CD that VA distributes does help out the Debian project (I
couldn't understand why VA would keep the money for themselves...). But the boxed
CD is the real thing. Even comes with O'Reilly's Running Debian Linux book. You
get that, the official Debian CD, and the Myth demo, all for only 20 bucks!
I know where you're coming from. The only CD's I buy, are Debian's and OpenBSD's
(they seem to get the least support/help). So once my eye catches potato on CD,
I'll be buying that as well.
Also, I recently read on slashdot that the Debian project won $25,000 dollars.
