In view of the many, many contributions that Lori has made to the
GNHLUG and SLUG in the last year or so, including chairing the LBS
(in addition to some generous contributions, financial and otherwise),
I think she's owed an apology.

Please remember that, like the Open Source model in general, we are
primarily a *volunteer* group, relying on the donations of time, energy,
good will, personal contacts, and other intangibles (as well as some
tangibles occasionally), to further our purposes. This is similar in
concept to other hobby-like activities, such as amateur radio, model
railroading, sports cars, etc. We need each other, we need the collective
spirit, to keep going and to achieve our collective goal, in this case,
of espousing Linux and Open Source software in the community. Flaming
not only chases away the directly flamed, but also others who really
don't have time or inclination to work in such an environment. Sadly,
the latter group often leaves silently, unnoticed until it's too late.
