FWIW, I was a member of a model railroad club down on Cape Cod for some
years; little plastic name tags were part of "membership", as well as
two different kinds of meetings - a "wednesday worknight" that was
mostly long time members, and a "friday social/perpetually open to the
public night". Members were actually pretty good about greeting
newcomers, as well. Guess they had somehow developed a conciousness of
such a necessity over the years. I bet future gnhlug meetings will be
better simply as a result of the /. post.....
