Slight correction - KDE was free, as was QT.  However, the QPL
conflicts/conflicted with the KDE GPL, such that the combination was
non-distributable.  All corrected by QT going GPL.

Even though I use GNOME, I did the above to get the KDE libs, so I
could install some KDE apps I wanted to use (actually, I installed the
apps, and they did the above in the dependencies).
