I'm making good progress in weaning myself off of MacOS. Instead of
futzing with linuxppc on my G3 Powerbook which was great, except for the
challenge of getting wavelan support on it, I'm running debian on a Vaio
505TR. I've got the dialer to work, ssh installed, etc... my next
challenge is that for some of my accounts I want to download email to the
disk... (instead of running mutt on remote hosts)... what are some of the
strategies/programs people use for this purpose...

also... what's a good backup strategy? I have an Orb drive on my
network... I could back this up to an orb disk via the network, but how,
exactly?

TIA,

J.
