Hi,
For those of you who don't know what USENIX is, let me assure you it is a VERY
respected technical conference on Open and Advanced systems.
This June it is in Boston for the first time since 1994 (when I got Linus to
sign the loan-of-products forms for the Alpha processor he used to do the port),
and they are looking for more papers.
In addition to the "normal" USENIX papers, in the past four years they have had
a "FREENIX" track, where papers about Open Systems are presented by the people
doing the work.
If anyone is doing any interesting work on either Linux or BSD, you may want
to consider submitting a paper.
If you would like to attend, this is your chance to mark your calendars.

USENIX members and conference attendees:
We all know that June 2001 seems like a far time away. However, this
message serves as a reminder than the call for papers for Freenix and
the USENIX General Conference will close in the next 2 weeks!!
Yes - it's that close! So, please take a few minutes out
of your day and take a look at the two call for papers which
can be found together at:
http://www.usenix.org/events/usenix01/cfp/cfp.pdf
Both committees look forward to strong programs again, but this
can only be achieved with your efforts in your submissions.
We hope to see you all again in Boston!
Thanks,
Yoohno Park and Clem Cole
Program Chairs for USENIX General and Freenix Conference 2001
