This is a nice change from Microsoft.

True story: At UNH, we had a scientist who was working on a big paper in MS
Word. One day, MS Word suddenly started crashing whenever he opened that
document. I called Microsoft's tech support. Their response: (1) The
document was irrevocably corrupted; (2) No repair tools are available; (3)
Word does this on occasion; (4) We should have had backups; (5) Thank you for
calling Microsoft.

While #4 was true, the fact that #3 is accepted by them was one of the
things that turned my strong dislike of Microsoft into actual hatred.
