To all of you GNHLUGGERs that I have had the fortune to meet and share an
evening or two with this past year, thanks for the memories and the support
you gave me as Chairman.
And many thanks to all the volunteers who put in the hours for the various
events that were so successful.
Maria (Iftikhar), Angie (Morner), Jeff (Smith), Bayard (Coolidge), Ed
(Lawson) and Bruce (Dawson), I really couldn't have accomplished the job I
did without your help. Thank you very much.
I can't forget the Chapter Chairs who worked hard to make our new chapters
so successful this year. Lori (Hitchcock) and Rob (Anderson) of the SLUGs;
Paul (Lussier), Mike (Ledoux), Jeff (Smith), and Rob (Lembree) of the
Merrilugs; Bob (Sparks) of the Centralugs, MarthaJo (McCarthy) of our new
KSCLUG, and last but not least Kurth (Bemis) and Peter (Cavenaugh) who are
working hard to re-establish the NNHLUG.
And now to share a secret. I had a guiding force behind me that helped keep
the keel even as we steered a new course with the GNHLUG. I had help. Every
Chairman needs a cabinet to test ideas good and bad and to be told when to
step back. My thanks to the guys who were my guides, Charlie Farinella,
Rich Payne, Bill Sconce, and Dave Seidel.
Just a great big thanks to all of you.
