Hiya, all -- this is a two-pronged e-mail:
1) Some time ago, someone was trying to play .asf files, and failing.
Well, there's a solution to this, and others, as well (such as DivX/mpeg4):

Only problem is that I can't compile it. Under both RH 6.2 and 7.0, I get
"checking whether the C++ compiler (c++ ) works... no
configure: error: installation or configuration problem: C++ compiler
cannot create executables."
during the configure stage. Since I do have a c++ compiler installed in
both cases, does anyone have any suggestions?
