Cleanup of tar-ball invasion begins on South Broward beaches

HOLLYWOOD -- A small section of beach on the city?s southside was shut Tuesday
morning after gobs of oil and tar and other debris began washing ashore,
 a Marine Safety official said.

Beaches from Hallandale Beach north through Hollywood and Dania
also reported oil and tar balls on the beach and workers at
John U. Lloyd State Park were closing off small sections of
the beach as they cleaned up the sticky business.
