Good morning, all.
If any of you are members of Unix Guru Universe's daily emailed Unix tips,
then you've already seen this...but for those who are not I thought this is
a neat trick to add to your bag. To determine if a program is leaking
memory on most *nix platforms: ps -v [pid] If the memory size keeps
growing, then there is a leak in the program. This just came in so I haven't
had a chance to play with in on Linux yet, but nearly all of the ugu tips
are Linux friendly (some even offer Linux specific code when there is a
difference between that and "real" unix).
If you're not familiar with Unix Guru Universe, pop over to www.ugu.com look
around, and sign up for the daily tips. At least one a week is a "keeper".
Just my .02
