Actually the problem was that I tried to incrementally upgrade my
firewall machine. When I swapped the hard drives from the original
into the temporary new machines, it fried my hardware. So I suddenly
needed to finish the new permanent firewall in a hurry, which involved
redesigning the network (and was supposed to involve the hardware that
got fried).
So much for smooth migration plans... ;-)
