Hmmm, I don't know if such a thing exists.  You might try "Ask
Slashdot" :) Also, I can't see a Windows/Mac type user getting excited
over a shell account.  What do you do with it once you have it?  You
can't play with all the neat GNOME/KDE stuff, they'll still be surfing
from their local system, likely reading mail that way too.

Have you considered giving them a CD-based memory only-installation?
LJ this past month had an article on one, and I've heard of several
others in the past.  This might be ideal for these users, as they can simply
boot off the CD-ROM, and run off the system as if it were on the HD.
It's obviously Read Only, being on a CD, but it might be a better way
to introduce them to Linux.

Just a thought.
