I'm a little confused. The default Redhat puts the USER (i.e. site data) files in
/home/httpd. The application is in /usr/bin. Is nick putting the compiled binary in
/usr/local/apache, and want's to nuke the /usr/bin/httpd, or is he moving the data
files from /home/httpd to /usr/local/apache?
The first is via what Ben suggested. The latter is defined in the httpd.conf file in
/etc/httpd (or /etc/apache, or wherever the distro put it). Also, if he updated the
version via compile, where did he tell it to look for it's config file?

Thought for today: creep v.
To advance, grow, or multiply inexorably. In
hackish usage this verb has overtones of menace and silliness,
evoking the creeping horrors of low-budget monster movies.
