Haven't seen it before, but I note some interesting things:
1. High Performance Computing. MS talks about 3rd parties building HPC
solutions on MS Windows. I note that in the latest top 500 supercomputer list
(www.top500.org), 4 are Linux clusters, and exactly one (and near the bottom)
is a Windows solution, built solely to allow MS to talk about a Windows
solution.
2. Note in the talk about Sun reliability, they don't talk about MS being
more reliable (in fact, the Sun problems are HW, not SW).
3. Their CCIA response doesn't actually deny what the CCIA said, but puts
that wonderful "MS needs to Innovate" spin on the answer.
Basically, more MS marketing speak. Best thing we in the Linux community can
do is continue building the best possible Open Source products, and speaking
positively of them.
BTW: For those who can, there is a hearing Tomorrow on "Efficiency in
Government" in the Statehouse, Room 100. I don't have the time, but if you
call the Clerk's office, you should be able to get it. Call (603)271-1110,
ask for the Clerk. Great opportunity to plug Linux in State Government.
Bob Sparks & I found out about the meeting when we met Andrew Peterson (House
Chairman of the Executive Departments & Administration Committee) today, and
told him about Linux. He expressed interest in hearing more, and suggested
that someone speak at the hearing.
