Dear Ken;
I had a similar problem when setting up a Solaris 7
install on an Intel platform. A possible work around
is boot the box into DOS mode (the Win98 setup disk
does this job admirably) and then use the 3COM setup
or config utility to manually set up the parameters of
the card. This worked on the Solaris/Intel install. I
would be interested in hearing any feed back on if or
how it has worked on a Linux install.
