Hi all,
I have another Linux install issue for you.
I just bought an AMD TBird 900 and an
Abit KT7A MB with an onboard ATA 100
RAID controller (HT370 I think).
To get windows 98 to work without
corrupting my c: drive twice a day, I
moved the single HD to the RAID IDE
connector. Windows now works OK (
or as OK as Windows gets). But guess what,
I put in my Linux boot floppy to run lilo and
set my MBR and it can't find my HD! It seams there is
no support for the HT370 controller in the 2.2.X
kernel. I read somewhere that it is supported
in 2.4. Is this true? How should I go about this.
I can download Redhat 7.1, burn a disk and reinstall.
That is not a problem. Does this sound like the best plan?
Thanks,
Kenny
P.S.
Please don't tell me to move the cable back and stop using
windows. I'm a hardcore gamer and Linux isn't there yet.
