People, This is not a public hearing. It could be a chance to pitch Linux to the people who are appointing additional members to the state IT advisory board. Bob Sparks Linux guru wannabe
The meeting on HB 578 is a committee of conference meeting, not a public hearing. While there is opportunity to talk with the members of the committee prior to the convening of the meeting or during a recess in the meeting, committees of conference rarely provide an opportunity for direct public testimony of the sort that is provided in a public hearing. I don't want to discourage attendance, because you can make a difference by simply being there, but I did not want anyone to travel a distance and be upset by the inability to testify. I am unable to attend, but hope that others can attend in support of this. Although it would add local reps as non-voting members, it gives us both a medium for learning about projects that will affect us as they come about, as well as an opportunity to provide input as it pertains to the local impact of these projects.
