All's you need to do is:
1) Change the "default=" setting to whatever the label for DOS is, and then
2) Re-run LILO ("lilo" at the command line) so that it gets written to the MBR.
That's it.
For example, you'd change
boot=/dev/hda
map=/boot/map
install=/boot/boot.b
prompt
timeout=50
message=/boot/message
linear
default=2.2.18-r
to
boot=/dev/hda
map=/boot/map
install=/boot/boot.b
prompt
timeout=50
message=/boot/message
linear
default=DOS [Or whatever the value after "label=" in your DOS section is]
and then re-run lilo.
