If y'all recall, a few weeks back I asked about an e-mail client which could be run from both Win32 and GNU/Linux and use the same databases. At that time, I felt Mahogany was the best solution. Well, I found a far, far better solution -- that's the good news. The bad news is that this solution is a defunct commercial program and it isn't GPL nor even general open source. :-( But the "Polarbar"[sic] mailer (formerly known as the "J Street Mailer") <http://www.polarbar.org> is definitely worth looking at. Polarbar is written in Java and is surprisingly well developed. I've been using this in a Debian environment, with a symbolic link pointing to my mail files and settings on a FAT32 partition. I can pull down and read/reply to mail in either system. Again, definitely worth looking at... ********************************************************** To unsubscribe from this list, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the following text in the *body* (*not* the subject line) of the letter: unsubscribe gnhlug **********************************************************
