here's what alerted me to the problem:
my wife's ibook, which connects to the network via our wireless ethernet
(the airport base station has a dhcp server built in), was unable to
resolve 'pop.threeofus.com' to check for her email...
if i'm logged into to 199.232.38.4 (monica.threeofus.com, or,
dns.threeofus.com) and run 'nslookup monica.threeofus.com' i get:
***Can't find server name for address 199.232.38.4: Server failed
***Default servers are not available
if I type: 'nslookup threeofus.com' I get:
*** Can't find server name for address 199.232.38.4: Timed out
*** Default servers are not available
