Yes. I even went so far as to pay for a "registered" copy of the Linux version. I found Opera fast and compact. It does a fine job rendering most HTML, and handles esoteric, non-standard, and "fancy" stuff reasonably well. The UI was different but quite serviceable -- I imagine one could get used to it easily enough. All in all, I give it high marks. > I'm looking for a good linux [browser] What are your requirements and priorities? The term "good" is rather vague. :) > ... alternative to Netscape. Do you mean "Netscape" as in "Netscape Communicator", or as in "anything based on the old or new Mozilla code"? If the former, definitely give the Open Source Mozilla browser a try. I use it for almost all of my browsing. I find it crashes or "gets funny" once a week, at most, and often goes longer. The major drawback is size and speed; it is a large program. I solved that by adding more memory. :-) -- Ben Scott <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> | The opinions expressed in this message are those of the author and do not | | necessarily represent the views or policy of any other person, entity or | | organization.
