This does not, in any way, answer your questions. However, I must
point out that I believe it a good thing that SWAT isn't starting.
GUI front-ends which hide the under lying actions from the user and
prevent them from understanding what's happening are a bad thing.
GUI front-ends which constantly over write the config file and
prevent you from ever figuring out "what changed" are an evil thing.
The real answers to these types of problems are:
1. RTFM
2. use revision control
Please, help stop the spread of bad GUI things :)
