Hi all,
Anyone out there currently using WPO2000 under RH7.2? It used to
install just fine in the 6.1/6.2 days, but it seems that RH, and
Linux in general has changed sufficiently since WPO2k's release that
it no longer works correctly.
Specifically the problem I'm having is getting the fonttastic font
server to be recognized by WP. The supplied start script is for some
reason broken, but I can manually invoke it, and/or have the X server
spawn it to listed on tcp port 7102, yet when I invoke WP, I get an
error message from the application stating that server couldn't be
contacted and it's going to wait 30 seconds and attempt to restart
the font server.
None of the logs are saying anything, other than the fonttastic log,
which just says that it got started. ps shows it's running, netstat
shows it listening on the right port.
I'm hoping someone out there has this running on 7.1 or 7.2 and can
provide some insight.
