This is prbably an easy one, and I'm just not getting it... I have a Dell Inspiron 7000 that I want to hook up to a KVM so I can use a normal sized keyboard and mouse. There is only one PS/2 port on it, so the keyboard wire goes there. I have a serial cable going from the laptop to the KVM. There is no place for a serial mouse, however, just a PS/2 mouse. So, I set up my XF86Config-4 file to have the mouse on /dev/ttyS0 now. When I start X, as soon as I move my mouse, the pointer goes to the upper left-hand corner of the screen and stays there. The protocol in my XF86Config-4 is set to PS/2. I tried all of the setting in XF86Setup, but none of them worked. Any ideas?
