Tom's statement caused me to look a little closer at my logs, and I have to admit, my scan logs have increased in size. I was getting porrt scans about every 3 hours for a while, but over the last two weeks, that has increased to about 1 per hour.
I have also seen an increase in FTP attempts. A cursory glance at some recent CERT advisories, SANS news letters, and a quick search of bookmarked sites has revealed three newly found holes in WU-FTPD, and several new tools for exploitation have come out in the last month. This, of course, comes as no surprise, since WU-FTPd has a history of holes, and script kiddies have a history of annoying me.
