The above is verbatim, except with Backspace
characters represented by ^H. I've seen worse.
Your formatting suggestions (72 chars, blank lines)
sound fine. Are those '>' characters sprinkled
throughout the message intentional? We should
lose the backspace/underscore sequences since
they are intended to cause underlining on printers.
(The hoped-for effect is emphasis, but the more
likely effect here is emesis...)
